Due to the recent C-19 pandemic, we have experienced a significant impact on submissions from colleges and universities, which make up about 30% of our overall submissions. Many of our helpers are unavailable and consumer confidence seems to have crushed recent book sales.
As a result, we have cut or eliminated the paid work hours for all staff, including independent contractors. We are not closing down, and we still have enough volunteers to keep all our projects running, though some projects are behind schedule.
We are still here, working hard, and we expect things to pick up and be back to normal soon. To our writers and readers, please continue to submit to our journals, and buy books if that’s possible. We’re actively reading and working to put out new publications.
