When you’re a writer, you come across some of the big bad guys in the publishing industry—people who never respond to your pitch, don’t read your manuscript, talk down to you, or who are simply unprofessional.

Prolific Press consistently publishes some of the very best haiku to be found. I am grateful for their expertise in selecting the best of the best for publication in Haiku Journal, and always look greatly forward to receiving the print edition in my mailbox.

I'm a reader and I'm hooked. I have all the journals except 3 or 4 of the earlier Haiku Journals...Other than that, I have them all. I love reading all the journals Prolific Press offers. Inwood Indiana is probably my favorite, but Jitter and Dual Coast Magazine are definitely up there. If I had to offer criticism it would be that overseas shipping has been a little expensive but that is probably out of their control. A long time ago, I decided to pick a press and support them. I chose Prolific Press because they produce Poetry Quarterly and everyone knows that journal. They have never let me down. Every issue is delivered on time, the quality is great and they even send me a free gift once in a while. I love Prolific Press!

I have very much enjoyed my experience with Prolific Press-Three Line Poetry to be exact. They are one of the few publications who don't charge submission fees and the paperback issues are beautiful! They also pay a token payment to writers that they publish, which is much appreciated in this day and age of widespread expectation that writers should remain satisfied with working/writing for free. I was ecstatic to have my short story "The Moat" published with Prolific Press (Jitter Issue #7, to be exact). The submission process was simple and I heard back in a timely manner. From start to finish, it was a smooth process and I'm so happy that my piece found a lovely home! (5 Stars!)

The Fall 2018 edition of Poetry Quarterly reflects the delightful diversity of poetry today. Traditional Japanese forms (haiku and tanka) appear beside free verse. Reflections on nature serve as counterpoints for commentary on humankind's capacity for violence and self-destruction. This issue captures voices that ache with the need to be heard.

Prolific Press and Poetry Quarterly make submitting and publishing much more pleasant than usual! The editors are responsive, professional, and sensitive to timelines. They created an attractive cover design for my chapbook in harmony with its themes. I love seeing the work that they bring to light, and the light that they bring to work.
